Cloud Systems Engineer, Denver Colorado
Specific Responsibilities: Supports Ghostmachine analytics, interfaces, and data feeds on both development clouds and deployed, operational clouds. Experience using the Ghostmachine software tool suite (stack) and the Puppet configuration management environment, and able to perform Ghostmachine software installations, upgrades, and configurations. Assist with gmTOTE, gmBaltic, and gmIDEA platform configurations to support on-going analytics testing, integration, and deployment. In addition to these fielded platforms, there are several development clouds being stood up that will need provisioning with Ghostmachine software, and that will need to be configured to support high-volume ingest characterization and metrics. It is expected that installation and configuration of GreenPlum’s Massively Parallel RDBMS will occur on one of these systems before year-end.
Functional Responsibilities: Set up, configure, load software, and provide administration of computers, configure and manage WANs and LANs, and other support to the program. Web development, testing, system integration, installation scripts, and other duties to support LAN and WAN networks. Interface with the following groups: software development, testing, integration, deployment, and sustainment.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS: Bachelor's degree (or related experience) in related technical discipline and 2 years experience. Experience with Ghostmachine Cloud technologies. Strong Linux experience. Experience working in an Agile environment. Experience with equipment specification, setup, problem resolution, network support, etc., related to computer hardware and software.
