Dynamics AX 2012 adds several new core ERP features.
These include new supplier relationship management and case management capabilities, a new constraint-based product configurator, and public-fund accounting, as well as support for project quotation and budget control for service businesses.
AX 2012 also provides improved support for multi-entity capabilities, along with embedded business intelligence and reporting.
As customers transition to cloud computing models, the update also provides direct access to Windows Azure public cloud services such as Rapid Start, Site, Payment and Commerce services.As part of its launch activities, Microsoft is also offering a 50 percent discount for customers running Lawson S3 or M3 ERP deployments who move to Dynamics AX 2012 between now and June 22, 2012. A related offer will reimburse qualifying partners for every Lawson-certified consultant that gets an AX 2012 certification in the same time period.
