IDG Connect recently published a survey of over 450 tech pros and marketers. One data point showed that although 58% of marketers and 51% of IT pros think it should be handled by both departments; in practice, this is not being achieved.
Some suggest the traditional role of IT has changed and has blurred the boundaries between IT and marketers.
